Monthly Workshop: Caring for Street Trees
With the New York Tree Trust

In this basic workshop, you'll learn to care for young street trees, receive free tools, and get a Parks Volunteer Permit, which will allow you to care for street trees and greenstreets. Advance registration is required; space is limited.

Date & Time: Wednesday, Oct. 29, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
Location: Highbridge Recreation Center, 2301 Amsterdam Ave. at W. 173rd St., Manhattan.

In this basic workshop, you'll learn to care for young street trees, receive free tools, and get a Parks Volunteer Permit, which will allow you to care for street trees and greenstreets. Advance registration is required; space is limited. To register, contact channaly.philipp@parks.nyc.gov or (212) 676-1929 with your name and email and/or phone number. (Workshop does not cover pruning.) Directions: A, C and #1 trains to West 168th Street & Broadway. Walk north to West 173 Street, turn right and continue to Amsterdam Avenue.

Requesting a workshop:
If your group would like to request a tree workshop, and can assure an attendance of at least 15 participants, get in touch with us. We are looking for host groups for our winter and spring monthly workshops. Our workshops are open to participants city wide.
